Why You Should Always Choose You 110 Talk # XIII (transcript)

Welcome to 110 Talk.

This is episode number 13, and this is where everything is on the table.

Today is September 21st, 2025.

It is the last official day of summer, and fall starts tomorrow.

So we're officially into a new season.

Today we're going to talk about why you should always choose yourself.

This moment that we're in is marked by a lot of noise, manufactured crises, fear mongering in our politics, and gossip, whether it be within our own friendship or family circles or gossip about people that are in the public narrative.

This prevents us from focusing on ourselves if we put too much attention on it.

Another thing that prevents us from focusing on ourselves because it has us looking outwards, is what I would argue one of the most toxic energies ever: that is the energy of envy that flows throughout our society. Envy ruins lives. It ruins families and it ruins character and reputation. Reputation is the thing that people say about you, but character is who you actually are. If we let envy get into our spirit , it has the ability to destroy both.

So let's bring it back to you.

You were born with unique powers and abilities waiting to be unlocked, waiting to be developed. You owe it to yourself to take those abilities and those powers into fruition. Even if you don't feel like you're that powerful yet, as soon as you lean in, you start to plant the seed.

That decision, that moment of decision, and people will come back and say, oh, when did that person change? What happened? That moment when you make the decision to yourself to say yes, is the key.

In my own story, I stalled out on an original project that I was doing. It was a different podcast. I kind of let it fall off the list of my priorities and it just stalled out and slowly over time fizzled out.

But when I decided to say yes to myself, I put a bow on that project. I did a finale and I decided in that moment of time that I was going to transcend into all that I could be. There were a lot of things about myself that I needed to work on before I could push myself through to what I could be.

When I started the YouTube channel , I was so bad at recording videos. I would write out every single word on my script. I even downloaded this teleprompter app that I could read the words off of, and every single video that I recorded in the beginning sounded and looked very robotic. It took a ton of practice for me to be able to go on and talk any time about anything and discover the approach that worked best for me, which was really just putting some keywords on a piece of paper and then talking. It's coming from an authentic place, but I have in advance put out some of the key concepts so that I don't miss anything.

With the songs , it was like I would always write chicken scratch of song ideas or some basic melodies and I didn't know how to put it into a full song. And so I had to learn every step of the process, whether that be co-writing with somebody else, starting with a hook, starting with writing the song and then putting the melody in or maybe starting with the melody and then putting it into a beat that works. The point is that when I was starting, I was not confident in what I was doing. I did not know how it was going to turn out. And yes, some of the beginning songs were not that good. I got mocked for it. If I hadn't continued it, I would have never developed that skill.

Also, the internet, the digital battleground, has never been my wheelhouse. I've never been somebody that knows how to code. I've always been someone that has technical issues. And yes, it usually is a user error problem. But I knew that the web was going to be one part of me rolling out what I am building. I did actually build three websites since starting this project. One of them using the web.com builder, one of them using Wix and one of them using WordPress. I've had countless support tickets helping me to implement the sites that I want to build and there's been stumbles along the way. I've developed a lot more skills than I had when I originally started, and that began with the decision to say yes, all the way, to myself.

Everyone learns differently. Based on my experience, I know for a fact that one way to build confidence is through repetition. The first thing that you do, you might go in hands shaking, voice trembling, but you decide to do it anyways. You stick to that decision to say yes to yourself. Then as you do it again and again and again, you get better over time and it almost becomes like muscle memory, whatever that thing is, And it puts you in this state of readiness where you're like, yes, I can already do this. I can already do that. I am in a posture that is powerful. And now I am ready for any moment that comes. So repetition is a key that can help in whatever it is that you've said yes to.

People and systems will try to put all kinds of obstacles and barriers to entry into whatever it is that we're trying to achieve. But the truth is that we don't actually need their degrees, their resumes , their credentials, their qualifications. We are already enough as we are.

Who you were born to be is who you decide that person is, not who your family tells you that it is, not who's society or your friends or even your coworkers tell you that it is, it is whatever you decide that it is. That in itself is beautiful..

This is tough. There's peer pressure, there's bullying, there's sabotage, but you have to release your attachment to what people think, say, or feel about what you're doing. Messages of resistance can come from anywhere. It can be subtle from a friend or family member who is voicing concern about what you're doing or even where you decide to get your content for development. You can look online and see a thumbnail that looks threatening , some type of clickbait, most likely. And it could, if taken the wrong way, discourage you from what you're doing. But you have to say strong and you have to release that attachment to what people expect from you or see for you because that only comes from you.

As soon as you do decide to say yes to yourself, people might be mad about it , especially if they have not said yes to themselves yet. In the beginning, they might celebrate it and it might be a little inspiring. They might even low-key be admirers of yours behind the scenes. But the more that you get into it and the more courageous that you get and you're not willing to reduce yourself or back down, it can make them angry.

So you have to know that going in, it's better if you know that in advance trust me, and still stay strong and stay committed to what you've decided to do.

Do not dim your light to make them comfortable. Oftentimes it may not be comfortable to hear or see something, but it actually is what that other person needs to see or needs to hear. So do not feel guilty. Do not dim yourself because the world needs your light.

The world needs your wisdom and the skills and the talents that you are developing right now. And it benefits the entire collective. So it might make people a little uncomfortable today because they don't know this version of you yet. When you were smaller, it made them more comfortable to have you that way because it made them feel more important. The reality is that not only does the current collective need your light and need this version of you that you're building, but the next generations do as well. The path that you carve out in this moment is going to be somebody's lifeline, is going to be a reason that somebody else steps in to what they're doing. So do not, please, on behalf of the entire collective, please do not dim your life.

It is a crime in the minds of some to be real and authentic, especially if their world has been surrounded by lies , chaos, and illusions. But I'm here to tell you that it is not a crime, but they might make it out to look that way in the court of public opinion. They can try to reposition anything that you do as something that is out of alignment, something that makes you look guilty or trying too hard or that you're not good enough. They'll paint it in any kind of way that serves their narrative.

You have to hang in there with yourself because even though they might be trying to prosecute you in the court of public opinion now, you're work is going to stand for itself. Your integrity is going to stand for itself and in the long run, you will prevail.

Circling back to the noise, there is so much noise out there in the world, in the electronic world. And again, there are messages that will come through that will try to knock you off course. But despite all the noise, the inner voice in your head, that one that is silently in there, you can think of it as a nudge or an instinct or an intuition.

This is the voice where you make plans and it tells you to stop or you are deciding to stay still today, but it tells you to go. It's that voice that says, actually go left here instead of going right. It's the voice that says, wait , what about that thing that we talked about yesterday? Maybe this is the right answer. It's that inner voice that will always guide you back to what is right. I would say that trusting that inner voice along the journey is going to save you from certain disasters, certain traps, certain mistakes, and it's going to guide you back in to developing that thing that you said yes to as you say yes to yourself.

This is a safe space for you to envision your most desired outcomes, your most fulfilled life, this is a safe space for you to be able to do that. Whether it's on this podcast or on our website or just in spirit from me to you, I want you to feel safe here that you can reimagine everything for your best possible outcome.

I say these warnings, not because I know everything. I absolutely do not. But because I have walked through fire in my own journey and I've come out unburned.

If as you are making these decisions, as you're going through your own, or maybe you already have and you want to share your journey and your story with us, I am here for that.We need that.

If you're still going along and you're dealing with the opposition, the resistance, tell your haters to call me and I will deal with them.

With that being said, I want to wish you a wonderful start into the fall season as we enter this last full season of the year from me to you, love and light, and I look forward to connecting with you soon, whether it be through this work or in person or maybe a joint interest of ours that ties us together in the future .

Take care now.

Finding Our 110 Percent

Finding our 110 percent isn’t about being perfect — it’s about discovering how much more we’re capable of when we commit fully to our growth, goals, and vision.

Everyone hits walls.  Everyone faces resistance.  But the 110 mindset is about pushing past the moments when it would be easier to quit.  It's about tapping into the part of us that knows we're made for more, even when it feels uncomfortable or uncertain.

110 percent looks different on everyone.  For some, it's waking up early to chase a dream.  For others, it's taking the first step after a setback.  It's about staying committed, digging deeper, and believing that what we’re working toward is worth every ounce of effort we have to give.

We'll never be perfect, but every moment that we embody it, we can unlock a life that's bigger, bolder, and more true to who we were meant to be.
